Poem Rocket

NOTES ON THE UP AND COMING

COMPILATION APPEARANCE
Poem Rocket appears on the new Fractured Discs compilation: Preserve, Volume One, a benefit for the Carnivore Preservation Trust. The compilation, scheduled for release in Fall 2003, features an acoustic track from the forthcoming, long-fomenting, double-CD INVASION!

INVASION! RECORDING SESSIONS AND OTHER NEWS
A few of the 16 songs from recording sessions in Baltimore and New York City are scheduled to be re-mixed in New York City with Charles Burst and Steve Silverstein, who have been instrumental in the construction of INVASION! Drummer Adam Cooke (Roads to Space Travel, Science Kit) appears on many of the new songs recorded in Baltimore's ACR studio.

Of note in this seemingly long interim, Sandra and Michael had a baby in March of 2003. One final recording session is being planned for late summer/early fall at their house in the mountains of upstate New York, which will complete the INVASION! recordings. Before the invasion begins, look for a newly launched Poem Rocket web site with more videos, MP3s of new material, demos, and previously unreleased songs, and more information about the pending release of INVASION!

Read an interview with Michael in Cold Comfort.

LEND / LEASE
Despite all the delays, Poem Rocket still plans to release the Lend/Lease limited edition CD-R EP as a precursor to the INVASION recording. This 4-song EP was recorded in 1999--at Six Finger Satellite's studio in Providence--as a 4-piece project with Mike Knowlton, former bass player for the band Gapeseed. It will be available from Atavistic for advance orders of INVASION!
